Having been teased at length, the Jaguar F-Pace SUV-crossover has officially been revealed ahead of its 2015 Frankfurt Motor debut, showing off a sleek design that will surely turn some heads.
As Jaguar’s first-ever SUV / Crossover, the F-Pace looks nearly identical to the C-X17 Concept that previewed it and features all of Jaguar’s latest design cues. The interior is said to be “wide and spacious,” offering plenty of room for up to five people and their luggage.
Like the XE sports sedan, the F-Pace rides on Jaguar’s new, aluminum-intensive iQ[Al] platform and benefits from a double wishbone front + integral link rear suspension. It’s described as a “family sports car” developed for those who love driving.
Power will be provided by JLR’s lineup of powerful yet fuel-efficient Ingenium engines, as well as by a 3.0-liter V6 for the more capable F-Pace S. The range-topping, performance-tuned F-Pace SVR will feature a supercharged, 5.0-liter V8.
There have been rumors that there will also be an all-electric version of Jaguar F-Pace, one with an estimated driving range of 300 miles (483 km).
